Macroscan of a White Scarab Beetle (Scarabaeidae)

This is a macroscan of an insect specimen white scarab beetle (Scarabaeidae). Macroscans can be either geometry based or splat based depending on the application - This version has been reconstructed as a splat. The best way to view them is in VR which is the native medium for 3d content imo. Macroscans have also been 3d printed in a collaboration with Mimaki. See more at www.macroscans.com
